Carbon Reduction Plan (CRP)

1. Commitment to Achieving Net Zero

Ametrine Care Services t/a Xpress Health is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, in alignment with the UK Government’s Net Zero strategy and the Paris Agreement.

As a leading healthcare staffing solutions provider, we recognize our role in contributing to a sustainable future while ensuring seamless and high-quality care for our clients. Our commitment involves:
✔ Reducing emissions across all operations and supply chains.
✔ Implementing science-based targets to guide sustainability initiatives.
✔ Engaging with healthcare institutions and industry partners to promote green practices.

2. Baseline Emissions Footprint

Baseline Year: 2024
The baseline emissions footprint represents the first full year of measuring our carbon emissions, including workforce travel, office energy use, and supply chain activities.

Emissions Totals (tCO₂e):

  • Scope 1 (Direct emissions from owned or controlled sources, e.g., fleet vehicles, heating): X metric tonnes
  • Scope 2 (Indirect emissions from purchased electricity, heating, and cooling): Y metric tonnes
  • Scope 3 (All other indirect emissions, e.g., workforce travel, procurement, and waste management): Z metric tonnes

Total Baseline Emissions: X + Y + Z metric tonnes

We will continue refining our emission tracking process by adopting enhanced data collection methods and leveraging digital monitoring tools.

3. Current Emissions Reporting

For 2025, we are finalizing emissions data and will compare it to our 2024 baseline to assess our carbon reduction progress.

We will publicly report on our annual carbon footprint to maintain transparency and accountability.

4. Emissions Reduction Targets

To reach Net Zero by 2050, we have set the following interim reduction goals:

  • 25% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 2030 (compared to 2024 baseline).
  • 15% reduction in Scope 3 emissions by 2030 (compared to 2024 baseline).
  • 50% total emissions reduction by 2040.

We will review and refine these targets periodically to align with evolving industry best practices.

5. Carbon Reduction Initiatives

Since 2024, we have undertaken several carbon reduction initiatives to drive sustainability in our operations.

A. Digital Timesheets & Paperless Operations

As a healthcare staffing provider, timesheet management has traditionally relied on paper-based processes, contributing to unnecessary waste and inefficiency. To address this, we have:
✔ Fully transitioned to digital timesheets, eliminating the need for printed documents.
✔ Enabled real-time timesheet approvals via the Xpress Health app, reducing manual paperwork.
✔ Integrated automated payroll processing, minimizing administrative overhead.
✔ Reduced paper usage across all compliance and operational workflows.

By digitizing timesheets and compliance processes, we have significantly reduced paper waste and printing-related carbon emissions while improving efficiency and data accuracy.

B. Sustainable Workforce Travel

As a healthcare staffing agency, workforce travel contributes significantly to our Scope 3 emissions. We are addressing this by:
✔ Encouraging staff to use public transport, carpooling, or electric vehicles.
✔ Implementing a remote onboarding and training system to reduce travel.
✔ Partnering with low-emission vehicle providers for future fleet expansion.
✔ Exploring carbon offset programs for unavoidable business travel.

C. Energy Efficiency

✔ Transitioning to 100% renewable energy for office spaces.
✔ Implementing motion-sensor LED lighting to cut energy waste.
✔ Encouraging remote work policies to reduce in-office energy consumption.
✔ Conducting regular energy audits to improve efficiency.

D. Supply Chain Collaboration

✔ Prioritizing eco-conscious suppliers with verified sustainability credentials.
✔ Reducing procurement of high-carbon-footprint goods and services.
✔ Collaborating with healthcare clients to promote sustainable staffing solutions.

E. Waste Reduction & Recycling

✔ Expanding recycling programs across all office locations.
✔ Reducing single-use plastics in day-to-day operations.
✔ Implementing eco-friendly office supply procurement policies.
✔ Partnering with waste management firms to improve responsible disposal practices.

6. Future Commitments

We are committed to continuous improvement in our sustainability efforts. Our upcoming initiatives include:

  • Green technology investments to further optimize energy consumption.
  • Expansion of telehealth and virtual shift management to reduce workforce travel.
  • Partnering with hospitals and care homes to develop sector-wide sustainability frameworks.
  • Encouraging healthcare professionals to embrace low-carbon work practices.
  • Conducting awareness programs to educate staff on carbon footprint reduction strategies.

7. Measuring Progress

To ensure accountability and transparency, we will:
Publish annual sustainability reports to track emissions reductions.
Regularly review and update our carbon reduction roadmap.
Engage third-party auditors for emissions data verification.
✔ Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of each carbon reduction initiative.

8. Leadership & Industry Collaboration

At Xpress Health, we are committed to leading by example in the healthcare staffing sector by:
